DANCEFLOOR

darkwave, electronic post-punk, EBM, industrial. the sound goes harder as the night goes. read the music policy at the end for more info.

unfortunately you will not hear Sisters of Mercy this night. we might add a batcave dancefloor in future editions.

WHAT DO WE MEAN BY MODERN GOTH NIGHT?

goth in 2026 shouldn’t be a cheaper and inferior copy of goth in the 80s. we are influenced by the timeless values of the 80s scene, but we are doing a night in 2026 not 1986.

world-class sound system, a play area, a big raw warehouse, modern goth aesthetics. let the skeletons and cobwebs stay in the history pics. bring the bass and neon.

PLAY AREA

furnished play areas. open space. exhibitionist. low light but not pitch dark. awareness team present in distinguished uniforms.

NO CAMERAS

no pictures/videos at the night. lenses get taped at the door. we don’t film our dancefloor either.

there will be a photographer from the party crew in a designated place, taking pics of people who want their photos taken.

CAPACITY

huge venue but limited capacity to keep the play areas safe. the last Climax sold out at 700 tickets before the event. buy tickets now to make sure you can come to the best goth night you’ve ever been to.

DRESSCODE AND DOOR PICKER

no streetwear, no formal clothes.

what works: any alternative fashion OR LLL/pvc etc OR goth OR military aesthetics.

and no, band t-shirt and jeans definitely won’t work.

bring ID. the door picker might ask you questions to make sure you contribute to the night. read the code of conduct CAREFULLY to make sure you get in.

DANCEFLOOR ETHOS

• please do not face the DJ. it’s a club night not a concert. dance with each other.
• no talking on the dancefloor. use the social lounge for that.
• no mobile use obviously.

TICKETS EXPLAINED

we have different releases and each release gets more expensive. the earlier you buy, the cheaper the ticket.

we also have solidarity tickets. discounted, up for grabs, trust based, for people who cannot afford the other ones. please use responsibly.

HOUSE RULES

obviously: no classism, no racism, no queerphobia, no transphobia, no misogyny, no kink shaming of any kind. no buts and ifs.

MUSIC POLICY

Darkwave. Electronic post-punk. EBM. Industrial.

first hours: darkwave.

then the music moves to the bassier side of synth: electronic post-punk, dark synth, old school EBM.

around 3 we go full on harder: EBM’s harder end, industrial, body techno. faster and harder until close.

we separate the art from the artists. don’t demand better.

also, at some point we might slip in some Brutalismus 3000. sorry.
